Getting Ready to Plant: Making the Most of Your Garden Space

How do you make the most of your garden space? The Master Gardener Food Gardening Specialists will discuss creative approaches to both container and row planting, using raised beds, wine barrels, mounds, bath tubs, even toilets, as well as vertical planting – growing your tomatoes and squash up a space-saving fence. Plus – how to start a berry garden, planting strawberries and blueberries using these techniques. There will be hands-on participation: bring your garden hat and gloves. In the event of heavy rain, indoor space is available. Free. Registration is NOT required. Location: Harvest for the Hungry Garden, 1717 Yulupa Avenue, Santa Rosa (behind the Methodist church; cross street: Hoen). For more information visit www.sonomamastergardeners.org.
