What happens in the garden as the days get shorter? Master Gardener Food Gardening Specialists will discuss the ‘what, when and how’ of seeding for both a fall harvest and for early spring veggies; how to collect and save seeds from your own garden; and how to prepare garden beds for the winter, including dormant oil sprays, mulching and cover crops. There will be hands-on participation: bring your garden hat and gloves. In the event of rain, indoor space is available. Free. Registration is NOT required.
