An Urban Garden to a Water Catchment and Sustainable Wildlife Habitat

March 14, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

| Free

Presented By:  Sonoma County Master Gardener Suzanne Clark

What happens if your newly purchased home doesn’t have your “dream’ garden when you move in? That happened to me. Five years ago, I moved into a Victorian home in downtown Petaluma with a dark back yard full of crabgrass, deformed ornamental plum trees, and boxwood. Could I really convert this area into a sustainable wildlife habitat with attractive, low-water use plants, drip irrigation, underground rainwater catchment system, and a greywater system in a reasonable time and cost? No registration required.
