My small garden's name refelects, first, its location just below the crest of Coleman Ridge, where the winds do blow and, secondly the age of the gardener.

The garden is bordered on threes sides by tall timber and on the fourth by my house.  This means a shortage of sunlight; about 4 hours a day in mid-winter and around eight hours in mid-summer.  But I have learned that, by careful observation of daily and seasonal insolation and careful selection of crop varieties, I can feed myself rather well.  If I can do it, so can you!
